We found five young and local clear communicators with a passion for creativity, art, community and design, and most importantly with a hunger to help show how art can positively impact Thamesmead. Together with project directors, Vickie Hayward, Joseph Gray and Yinka Danmole, the five co-founders of this neighbourhood agency will work together to commission a new piece of permanent public art for their area.

Thamesmead is a relatively new town, famous for its iconic concrete construction it became a symbol of the modernist housing movement of the 60s. The studio also builds on Thamesmeads reputation and history for initiating community-owned infrastructure like its radio station, newspaper, and community associations, and demands innovative thinking straight away at a local level.
