A learning studio can be anything it wants to be, strategically placed items or flamboyantly displayed, the user experience is just as important as the space itself. The two go hand in hand and instinctively thought of when an activity is about to commence.
The Tetley Gallery launched a competition for artists to redesign their learn studio. The room was typical in squared dimensions. To soften the space, we decided chairs and tables with soft curved edges were appropriate. The tables offered adjustable and detachable legs so as to fit all user activity and neatly placed away on side storage areas. The units were of a neutral tone, to stay within the same realm the colour scheme was reflective of the ones used for Google Drive. Soft, light and friendly colours were integral to the space which was to be used by all ages.
