// Designers In Residence at the Design Museum

Excited to announce Yinka Danmole has been announced as one of the four Designers in Residence for 2017 at the Design Museum.
Responding to the theme of ‘Support’, these will be the first
designers to use the museum’s dedicated Designers in
Residence studio to create their works.
The 2017 Designers in Residence are: Chris Hildrey, Soomi
Park, Studio Ayaskan and Yinka Danmole.
Yinka’s project will look at the visual representation of language
and mapping the vocabulary, expression, tones and variations of
pidgin English, highlighting shared meanings and considering
language as open source.

After a fantastic 9months of working with somewherto_ to produce some exciting projects activating dormant urban spaces with activities like Festiv_Alt + Hive. We are sadly saying bye as we turn our focus to other projects.

(Cannon Hill Art School) We were Invited by mac birmingham to lead on the development of the digital platform for the pop-up art school. We introduced Slack to the students and staff running a series of surgeries and contributing to the end of year show with a transcript of all the discussions and interactions that took place online.

Following on from our work on The Loft Birmingham researchers from Aston University asked us to work with a group of young people from a town called Elephsina to share the project and outcomes. The young people had become very interested in our pilot and wanted to explore what ways they could achieve something similar in their setting.
